Today we will explain how to change the engine oil on a Porsche Panamera 971. It is very important to place a container under the oil reservoir and lift the vehicle on a lift before starting the oil change. Using a T25, we remove the lower bumper cover to gain access to the oil reservoir. We remove the drain plug using a T45. Once the plug is removed, we let the used oil drain into the container. We close the reservoir plug and clean the area before installing the lower cover; it is important to reduce the torque to 18.5 feet-pounds. We open the front hood and remove the engine cover. Next, using a 32 mm socket wrench, we remove the nut that secures the oil filter housing to perform the filter replacement. After replacing the filter, we install the cover of the housing and the engine cover. We open the reservoir cap and pour in about 5 liters of oil.
