Replace the Hood Struts on a Porsche Boxster

Is the strut that supports the hood worn out? Here’s how to remove the strut from the Porsche. Lift the hood and secure it. Use a screwdriver to detach the metal clips that hold the worn strut at both ends (or unscrew the mounting bolts). Follow the same steps to remove/install the twin strut. Install the new part on the vehicle, securing the strut with the metal clips. Use replacement parts that are the same length and pressure type as the damaged ones. Test the operation of the hood.
