In this video, you can see how to open the hood of a Porsche 997 with a dead battery. The battery is located in the front hood, and the compartment opens with an electric lock activated by a button located at the bottom left of the driver's seat.

First, open the small panel near the driver's pedals, which contains the fuses. Using the tweezers inside, pull the red connector next to it, which is an auxiliary power input.

You can connect the positive from a booster to this connector, while the negative will be taken from the door hinge. Now, press the hood release button, and the hood will open so you can work on the battery.

How to open the bonnet on a Volkswagen Golf?
