In this guide, you will find information to help you open the hood when the vehicle's battery is dead on a Porsche 911. First, get into the driver's seat and remove the panel located at the bottom right (next to the pedal assembly); then disconnect the red terminal as shown in the video.

Next, pull the hood release cable after removing the left front fender; this will allow you to open the hood in an emergency, and then proceed with replacing the battery.
