Regularly replacing the fuel filter helps maintain optimal engine health and performance. The necessary steps are simple and take just a few minutes. Before proceeding, ensure the engine is off and that the engine compartment temperatures are low. Lift the hood and locate a yellow valve. Unscrew it to allow all the fuel in the filter to drain out. Also, unscrew the top cap of the filter and remove the o-ring. Now, remove the old filter and replace it with a new one. Reposition the plastic cover, screw the yellow valve back on, and finally, close the hood.
