To reset the engine management ECU on a Renault Megane, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay. Here, locate the battery in the top left corner of the engine bay. Disconnect the battery cables and leave it disconnected for about half an hour; this will allow the ECU to reset, clearing all stored errors.

After this time has elapsed, reconnect the battery to check that everything functions correctly.

Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
