Replacing the engine air filter is a straightforward DIY maintenance task that is important for ensuring the engine always draws clean air, benefiting both performance and fuel consumption. On this model, the engine air filter box is located just behind the battery and is mounted vertically. To remove the filter, unscrew the two front screws securing the cover, then slide it upwards like a drawer. Once the old filter is removed, clean out any dirt residues by vacuuming rather than blowing, to prevent dirt from entering the intake. Then, fit the new filter and reattach the cover.
