How to replace the drive belt on a Renault Clio III

Let's see how to replace the service belt on a Renault Clio III: lift the car by placing it on safety stands; remove the front wheels and unscrew the bolts of the fuel filter bracket, which we will move without disconnecting the pipes. If there are engine protections, remove them. Now loosen the tension of the belt tensioner, using a fork wrench. Before removing the belt from the pulleys, take a photo to remember the exact position of the belt; it will help us for reassembly. Now reassemble the new belt by tensioning it with the help of the tensioner: check the correct tension; in fact, the belt should have about 1/1.5 cm of play by pressing in the center of the longest stretch, so it should be tight, but not excessively. Reassemble the fuel filter bracket, reattach any protections, lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel bolts. Do a test with the engine running to check that the engine does not have excessive vibrations.
