How to replace the door lock cylinder on a Renault Megane Scenic III

To replace the door lock cylinder on a Renault Megane Scenic III, first open the door and locate the inspection cap (a rubber cap). Removing it will give you access to the lock mechanism; insert a thin metal hook to catch the spring clip that holds the cylinder from the inside. With the key inserted in the cylinder in the "open" position, pull the hook outward to unlock the retaining mechanism. At this point, the cylinder can be pulled out from the door. Insert the new cylinder (available on Amazon with code B0CYDQ56FV for £41.01, with free delivery), check its operation, and replace the rubber cap.
