What Do the Messages "Electrical Fault Danger/Engine Fault" Mean on Renault Zoe

These concerning messages are primarily caused by a weak 12V battery. In this case, the vehicle may get stuck in "P", show false errors on ABS, airbags, etc., or fail to turn off or restart properly. The issue may also relate to the battery pack dropping below 75%; often, the problem is also a need for a BMS software update; a fault in the inverter can also generate persistent errors, even after replacing the 12V battery. It is advisable to check with an OBD2 tool, looking for errors in the engine ECU (codes UCH/PEB and related) and in the BMS (traction battery status, e.g., SOH 65%, urgent update needed). Also check the high-voltage cables and connectors (but this should only be done by qualified technicians!). If the traction battery is under warranty (via rental), if SOH is <75%, Renault will replace it free of charge.
