How to Change the Fan Resistor on a Renault Kangoo II (Without Removing the Dashboard)

The video shows an alternative solution for replacing the fan resistor on a Renault Kangoo II, which allows you to avoid completely removing the dashboard, a lengthy and complex job. First, the YouTuber removed the lower panels under the steering wheel (both the upper and lower ones) and also the central side panels. This allowed access to the area where the fan resistor is located, mounted on a plastic base with two bolts (visible from the side). The problem was that the connector going to the fan motor is located above the dashboard and is not reachable from below. The adopted solution was to modify the new resistor (in the case of the video, it came from a Renault Mégane, with a different shape but the same wiring scheme). The casing of the old resistor was cut, and the new one was inserted inside it, keeping the original base. This way, the connectors aligned perfectly. Then, the wires were connected to the fan motor. Finally, the fan was tested: the air conditioning was turned on, and all speeds were tried. The fan worked perfectly.
