How to Change the Front Brake Pads on a Renault Megane

On the Renault Megane, the procedure begins with securing the car: work on the front wheel, which is removed to access the brake assembly. With the caliper in view, you will see the release of the fixings and the opening of the caliper to free the pads. At this point, on the Renault Megane, the old pads are extracted from their housing, and space is prepared for the new replacements by retracting the piston. Apply pressure in a controlled manner, so as not to force and to retract the piston just enough to accommodate the thickness of the new pads. When everything is ready, on the Renault Megane, insert the new pads into the guides and correctly seat them. Close the caliper and tighten the bolts, completing the front brake assembly. Finally, remount the wheel and lower the car back to the ground.
