How to Activate and Deactivate Traction Control in a Renault Megane

To activate and deactivate traction control in a Renault Megane, you need to obtain an OBDII interface that will be inserted into the yellow connector located in the car near the pedals. Press and hold the start button for a few seconds to keep the instrument cluster powered on throughout the procedure. From your PC, download the dedicated software and open the program to connect to the car. Select the car model from the menu at the top, then modify the two types of ECU. The first is ABS/ESC; select this option and double-click to enter the control unit. In the Parameters screen, select ECU-configuration and look for the Ext Grip function to activate it, enabling write modifications via the icon at the top, and select the "write" button. The second is the Audio option; select version 2X v2.5, double-click, and navigate to the configurations. Within the settings menu, select the Extended grip option and press the "write" button. Perform the Key Off/On Reset. To see the result in the car, press and hold the screen off button inside the vehicle for five seconds to perform a reset. Once powered back on, check the activation of the traction control by viewing the traction control option in the driver assistance menu.
