Repair of Internal Fan Resistor Connector

Model: Renault Megane Megane 1 - Years 1995-2003

If the internal ventilation fan speed remains unchanged or does not activate despite adjusting the control knob, it is likely that there is an issue with the speed switch (or resistor) of the fan or the associated wiring. The resistor is located just below the wiper motor and is at high risk of oxidation due to its position. To access it, remove the plastic grille on the passenger side and the battery. You may notice previous attempts to seal the various connectors with tape. Proceed to dismantle the speed switch: inside the connector of the control unit, a pin is missing due to excessive oxidation. Open the plastic housing, reposition and solder the pin, ensuring continuity in the circuit. Before reinstalling the repaired control unit, also replace the spade connectors in the socket and reassemble everything.
