Renault Megane - Video tutorial

Model: Renault Megane Megane 1 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Control unit
Operation: Repair internal fan resistor connector

If it happens that while varying the speed of the internal ventilation fan through the appropriate knob, it remains unchanged or does not activate at all, then it is very likely that there is a problem with the speed switch (or resistor) of the fan or with the relative wiring. . The resistor is located immediately under the wiper blade drive motor and it is precisely because of its position that it is subjected to a high risk of oxidation: in order to reach it, the portion of the plastic grille on the passenger side must be removed. and the battery; it can be seen that some interventions have already been carried out on the various connectors, trying to seal them with cloth tape; then proceed with the disassembly of the speed switch: inside the terminal board of the control unit there is a pin that has detached due to excessive oxidation; then open the plastic casing, reposition and solder the pin, checking its continuity on the circuit; before installing the repaired control unit, also replace the fastons in the socket and reassemble everything.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
