Camshaft Oil Seal Replacement

Once the camshaft is positioned and secured in its seat, it is always advisable to replace the side oil seal: before installation, thoroughly lubricate both the new oil seal and its seat with clean oil; position the oil seal so that the sealing lip faces inwards and press it in fully with the appropriate tool. Once the oil seal installation is complete, fit the timing belt pulley, tightening the corresponding fastening pin using both a torque wrench and a graduated spanner while holding the pulley steady with the appropriate lever.
