Replacing Valve Guide Seals

Model: Renault Laguna MK 2, Laguna 2, X74 - Years 2001-2007

To replace the valve guide seals (essentially oil seals), you need a suitable arch clamp to compress the valve spring, an extractor, and a pusher. Once the clamp is in place, compress the spring, separate the retaining half-shells of the caps, and remove the valve. Use the extractor to remove the old seal, clean the seat, lubricate it with clean oil, and also lubricate the new oil seal before inserting it with the pusher until it is fully seated. Lubricate the valve before refitting it by compressing the spring and securing it with the cap and half-shells.
