Filter Replacement Instructions

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

Replace all filters during each service: start with the engine air filter located at the top of the engine, just beneath the plastic cover; once the cover is removed, disconnect the air intake duct from the filter housing and unscrew the screws holding the two components of the filter together, open the housing and remove the old filter, clean any dirt residue and insert the new filter by tightening the screws. Next, move to the cabin air filter located just below the windscreen on the passenger side: remove the seal, then take off the plastic cover, unscrew the fixing screws of the cap and extract the old filter; insert the new one ensuring the airflow direction is correct. Complete with the replacement of the diesel filter located just in front of the battery; first, drain the filter by unscrewing the drain screw underneath; then disconnect the hoses by pressing on the locking tabs and pull the filter upwards; position the new filter, connect the hoses and fill it by pumping the manual pump before starting the engine.

How to Reset the Central Locking of the Volkswagen Golf 4?

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel. Under this panel, you will find the fuses, including the one for the central locking, which is indicated in the manual as number 14. To reset the system, remove this fuse from its housing, then reinsert it or replace it with a new one of the same amperage: this will reset the central locking system.
