Replacement of Front Suspension Wishbone

Model: Renault Megane Megane 1 - Years 1995-2003

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel; free the wishbone from the stabiliser bar end, the hub from the wishbone end of the suspension (use a fork puller to extract it from its position), and from the shock absorber to complete the removal of the wishbone by unscrewing the bolts that secure it to the engine cradle; at this point, it is possible to remove the wishbone from its position and proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one, complete with both bush and end: take care when tightening the bolts.

Once these operations are complete: lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover (from the wheel arch). After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the tensioner pulley, adjusting until the correct tension is achieved on the belt (previously fitted).
