Front Hub Bearing Replacement

To replace the front hub bearing, you need to remove the hub itself, disconnecting everything attached to it: suspension wishbone, driveshaft, steering rack tie rod, and shock absorber. Start by loosening the central nut securing the driveshaft to the hub before lifting the vehicle. Position the car on suitable axle stands and remove the wheel, then the brake caliper and its bracket, followed by the brake disc. Complete the disassembly of the driveshaft securing nut, remove the ball joint of the suspension wishbone, and slide out the driveshaft. Use a suitable puller to detach the tie rod end from the steering rack, disconnect the speed sensor, and remove the shock absorber mounting bolt. Once the hub with bearing is removed, take off the circlip without deforming it and extract the bearing itself, preferably using a press rather than a hammer. Then insert the new bearing into the hub using a series of spacers and a threaded rod (again, a press is preferable at this stage). Finally, reverse the process to reinstall the hub onto the vehicle.
