When an engine has to be reassembled, for example after disassembly to replace the cylinder head gasket, it is good practice to replace all the gaskets: there is on the market for this purpose the so-called emery series gasket kit, which includes all the gaskets of the engine. Those of the intake manifold are actually four silicone rings which resemble rubber bands and which must be inserted in the special grooves present in correspondence with the intake ducts of the manifold itself; once the gaskets are in place, apply the manifold to the head and tighten the fixing pins with the torque wrench.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
