In the Renault Megane, if the battery goes flat, the radio will lock and you will need to enter the security code, usually found in various documents. If lost, you can retrieve it using one of the many smartphone applications available, which require the serial number.

To find this, located inside the radio itself, insert the keys into the 4 holes on opposite sides, then push outward while simultaneously pulling towards you. Once extracted, you will find the serial number on the label on the right side, which can be entered into the app in exchange for the unlock code.
