How to Clean the EGR Valve in a Renault Megane 2

In this video tutorial, see how to clean the EGR valve in a Renault Megane 2 by following a few simple steps: first, get inside the vehicle, turn off the engine, and pull the handbrake. Lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod, then remove the engine cover; now you can see the EGR valve and its intake duct. (The valve recycles gases that the engine has not burned, so it gets dirty quickly.) It is recommended to clean it regularly to prevent engine malfunctions. Insert a thin flathead screwdriver into the gap under the connector; the valve is held in place by three bolts, one of which is located behind the valve. Use a socket wrench to loosen the screws and finish unscrewing them by hand. Remove the valve by moving it sideways and also take off the EGR valve's intake duct, which requires removing the black support of the engine cover. Cleaning the valve is a lengthy process and should be done using a degreaser that needs to be left to act for about 20 minutes, then it is advisable to clean the parts with petrol for a thorough clean. Use a brush to clean inside the duct; once the parts are clean, reassemble them.
