Replacement of Front Shock Absorbers

Model: Renault Scenic MK III, Scenic III, Scenic 3, MK 3 - Years 2009-2015

To replace the front shock absorbers, first obtain the appropriate clamps to compress the spring. Lift the vehicle on a ramp and remove the front wheel. Disconnect the brake pipe support bracket and proceed to remove the mounting bolts of the shock absorber from the hub. Access the engine bay and remove the plastic grille located just below the windscreen by detaching the wiper arms, the brake fluid reservoir, and the wiper motor along with its support bracket. At this point, you can access the body strut and remove the nuts securing the shock absorber mount. Once the shock absorber is removed, apply the clamps to the spring to compress it sufficiently and detach the mount from the shaft. Then, insert the spring into the new shock absorber along with the dust cover and fit the mount. Proceed in reverse order for reinstallation on the vehicle, reassembling everything.
