Replacing the Engine Air Filter

Model: Renault Scenic MK III, Scenic III, Scenic 3, MK 3 - Years 2009-2015
Part: Air filter

The air filter is a component of the fuel system in your car and serves to filter and clean the air drawn from outside before it reaches the combustion chamber. Without a filter, there would be an excessive air flow to the engine, leading to a lean combustion, meaning too much air compared to fuel. This filter should be changed every 12,000-18,000 miles. The container where the filter is located is called the air box, which is usually a box of varying shape and size located near the engine. You can find both economical and high-quality filters available.
