The Roewe RX5 Max is built by the Chinese company Roewe in collaboration with Alibaba Group. It is known as the first "internet car" because it has an operating system that allows interaction with the driver and road infrastructure. The RX5 is also sold under the MG brand, although only with gasoline engines. The model is built exclusively for Eastern markets, the Philippines, and South America. It is available with a combustion engine, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric. The three versions differ mainly in the front, where the electric and hybrid versions have larger fronts, with the license plate mounted directly on the grille. The combustion engine is equipped with a 1468 cc engine with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the hybrid has a 1498 cc engine with a 7-speed automatic transmission, and the electric motor is 1995 cc with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
