Replacing Water Pump on Seat Ibiza

Model: Seat Ibiza 6L - Years 2002-2009
Part: Timing belt

Replace the timing belt if you have reached the mileage limit. Lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Raise the car on a column lift, remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the tensioner pulley until the belt has the correct tension (as previously fitted). Remove the water pump and fit a new one. Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, then fit the new belts. Refit the engine cover panel and the wheel.
