How to Replace the Thermostat on a Seat Leon

Model: Seat Leon 1P - Years 2005-2013

Before you can start, you need to open the front bonnet. Begin by removing the battery and its housing. This will give you access to the thermostat valve. Next, disconnect the hoses connected to it by loosening the metal clips that secure them. Then, disconnect the electrical connector that operates the thermostat valve. At this point, you will be free to unscrew the bolts that secure the thermostat to the engine block. Once this step is complete, you will have removed the thermostat valve. To fit the new thermostat, follow these instructions in reverse, and you will have successfully completed the replacement.
