Cylinder Head Gasket Replacement

Model: Seat Leon 1M - Years 1999-2005

After having the cylinder head skimmed, check the flatness of the surface using a straight edge and a feeler gauge; repeat the same check on the cylinder block. Then, re-tap the threads of the securing holes, taking care not to contaminate the cylinders with swarf; check the piston interference before installing the new gasket and the cylinder head, and complete the installation by applying sealing paste to the bottom of the threads and under the heads of the pins. Then, secure the pins using both a torque wrench and a standard spanner.
