Below are the main instructions for removing and replacing the timing belt on a Seat Ibiza 1.0 TSI, as well as on a Volkswagen Polo. This type of engine requires a timing belt inspection at 240,000 miles, after which you can decide whether to replace it. First, raise the vehicle and remove the front right wheel.

Next, disconnect the auxiliary belt and the coolant hose, as shown in the video.

At this point, remove the timing cover to access and inspect the belt!
