In this tutorial, see how to replace the spark plugs in a Skoda Octavia 2 1.8 TSI: get in the vehicle, switch off the engine, and pull the handbrake; next, lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Remove the engine cover to access the spark plugs. Disconnect the coil power supply; lift the support tab of the connector, then pull up the terminal; gently remove the coils. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean around the coil housing. Use a 16 mm socket with an extension to unscrew the spark plugs. Once the spark plugs are unscrewed, install the new ones, tightening with a torque wrench according to the manufacturer's specifications. Reassemble all parts in reverse order.
