To remove the rear bumper of a Smart ForTwo, you need to be patient and pay attention to the various fixings. The first step is to lift the vehicle on a ramp or use a jack to access the underside easily.

The bumper is secured with screws and clips located along the inner edges and at the bottom. Once you identify the fixing points, remove the screws using a screwdriver or appropriate spanner, taking care not to damage the clips.

To facilitate the process, gently disconnect any sensors attached to the bumper, such as parking sensors, if present. These components must be disconnected before pulling off the bumper.

Once all screws and electrical connections are removed, the bumper can be slowly lifted and disengaged from the supports. During removal, proceed with caution to avoid scratches or breakages.
