How do you remove the speaker from the door of a Smart Fortwo? Follow these steps: disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay, unscrew the securing screws on the speaker grille on the door, then remove the speaker from the panel. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the securing screws of the speaker, then pull it out by hand from the door, disconnecting any power connectors. Finally, refit the new speaker with the securing screws and power connectors, and close the compartment with the grille.
