Replace the handle of the Smart Fortwo? Here’s how to remove the opening handle from inside the door of the Smart. Open the car door, unscrew the screws located on the side of the door as shown in the video, then slide the handle with its base to the right of the door. Remove the door opening handle (disconnect the opening cables). Connect the cable to the new handle, then secure it above the car door. Finally, screw in the securing screws on the side of the door. Test the operation of the handle by opening and closing the door.
