Cabin filter replacement on Smart Fortwo

Today we will face together an easy and very fast maintenance: the replacement of the cabin air filter, or pollen filter. The most difficult part is knowing where it is: well, to access it you will have to work in the pedal area, next to the steering column, towards the center of the dashboard (see video). In other words, behind the air conditioning vents. Accessing the filter is very simple: just open the compartment lid and extract the filter, perhaps with the help of a flat screwdriver. Insert the new filter in the same direction as the original and close the compartment with the special door.
