In this tutorial, we will see the steps to perform the reset procedure for the service light on a 2017 Smart Forfour. The operation is quite simple and quick. First, get into the vehicle, insert the key into the designated slot, and turn it to the first position to power on the instrument cluster without starting the vehicle. At this point, use the buttons on the steering wheel; press the directional buttons multiple times to scroll through the menu options and select the "messages and service" option. Press and hold the OK button until you see the message on the display flash, then release it to complete the reset. Turn off and turn on the ignition to verify the success of the operation.
