Radiator Fan Replacement for Smart 450

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Radiator

If the coolant temperature tends to rise, it is likely that the cooling fan on the radiator is not activating; replacing this fan is very straightforward. Access the rear engine compartment, disconnect the power connector for the fan motor, unclip the upper fastening tab, and pull upwards to remove the fan along with its motor and support frame. The new replacement is also available in the aftermarket. To install it, simply insert the new fan into its housing, ensuring the lower tabs fit into their respective slots, then reattach the upper tab and the power connector. Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature, then check that the new fan operates correctly.
