How do you remove the gearbox housing of the Subaru Forester?

Model: Subaru Forester SH, MK 3 - Years 2008-2011

In order to remove the gearbox of the Subaru Forester, you need to lift the car with a jack, so that the front wheels are not in contact with the ground: these will then need to be removed by loosening the bolts that attach them to the corresponding hubs. Once the wheels and corresponding wheel arches have been removed, you can locate the gearbox in the lower part of the engine compartment, to the right of the engine block itself: by unscrewing the support screws and disconnecting all the appropriate connectors, you will be able to slide the gearbox out of its housing.
