Oil change on a Subaru Impreza? Here’s how to proceed. Lift the car on a jack and undo the bolt on the oil sump; allow the fluid to drain into a container. Using a socket spanner, undo the large securing bolt on the cap where the oil filter is located. Remove the worn oil filter and fit a new one. Open the car door and pull up the engine bay release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Top up with new oil and close the front bonnet. Close the oil filler cap on top of the engine head.
