Replacing Engine Air Filter

Model: Subaru Forester SH, MK 3 - Years 2008-2011
Part: Air filter

Once the front bonnet is opened, the air filter housing is located at the front left (when viewed from the front); the first step is to remove the intake duct, which is secured to the grille with two clips. To facilitate the extraction of the filter, also remove the rubber connector attached to the mass air flow sensor: once the metal clips are released, you can extract the old filter and, after ensuring there are no residues inside the housing, fit the new one and complete the reassembly of the previously removed components.
