Replacing the remote battery on a Subaru Forester is very simple. For this operation, you will need a replacement CR1620 battery and a small flathead screwdriver.

To open the remote, insert the tip of the screwdriver into the indicated slot on the side of the upper ring and lever it open. Once the two halves are separated, remove the central module and open it by unlocking the clips around the perimeter.

At this point, remove the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring it is positioned the correct way.
