Replacing the remote battery of a Subaru Forester produced from 2014 to 2021 is a task you can perform independently with just a few steps. First, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the small slot of the remote to apply slight pressure and open the key cover.

Next, as shown in the video, open the inside of the remote to replace the old battery with the new one, taking care not to break the plastic clips. Once this is done, fit the new battery and close the remote.
