Removing the Car Radio and Centre Console

Model: Subaru Legacy MK 4, BP, BL - Years 2003-2009

Using a plastic tool to avoid damaging the bodywork, lever at the base of the tunnel around the gearbox to detach the plastic clips and remove it. To facilitate removal, unscrew the gear knob. Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors. Unscrew the fixing screws of the driver's side panel and remove it. Do the same with the other panel. Unscrew the fixing screws of the radio console and carefully remove it until it slides out of the support. Disconnect the connectors attached to the radio to easily remove the entire unit. Refit the new radio by reversing the operations.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
