How to Replace the Rear Main Seal

Model: Subaru Outback BP, MK 3, BL - Years 2003-2009

I will explain how to replace the rear main seal of your car. Disconnect the battery, remove all connectors near the alternator, and take it out along with any other components nearby. Remove all hoses, pulleys, and belts present. After that, remove the engine, possibly using an engine hoist to lift it out of the engine bay. Open the block to access the inner pulley and replace it with the new one. After replacing the part, calibrate everything, and your job is done. Now you can close up your engine and reinstall it in your car, refitting everything in reverse order.
