To change the front brake pads of the Suzuki Liana, it is essential to secure the vehicle. Park it on a flat surface, engage the handbrake, and place wheel chocks behind the wheels that remain on the ground. Using a wrench, slightly loosen the bolts of the affected front wheel, then lift the car using the jack at the designated support points under the threshold and place a safety support under the frame. At this point, completely unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel to have full access to the brake assembly. The disc with the mounted brake caliper will be visible on the hub. Using an appropriate wrench, loosen the caliper screws, and with the help of a screwdriver, slightly retract the caliper body to free the worn-out old pads, which can then be removed from their seat. Before installing the new parts, it is advisable to check the condition of the disc and clean the support bracket, removing dust and debris. The new pads are then inserted into the appropriate guides, paying attention to the correct mounting direction and the position of the metal clips. If necessary, the caliper piston is pushed back with a screw tool to create space, after which the caliper is closed over the new pads, and the fixing screws are tightened securely. After reinstalling the wheel, screw in the bolts and lower the vehicle by removing the support and the jack; once on the ground, the bolts are finally tightened in a crisscross pattern. Before driving off, pump the brake pedal several times to bring the pads back into contact with the disc. The Suzuki Liana is now ready for use with new front pads and a properly restored braking system.
