Oil Change for Suzuki Grand Vitara Gearbox

Model: Suzuki Grand Vitara MK 2 - Years 2005-2015
Part: Transmission fluid

Required: ATF3309 transmission fluid, funnel with tube, set of spanners, gloves.
Procedure: Lift the car on a workshop ramp. Locate the drain hole next to the crossmember. IMPORTANT: Fill with the same amount of fluid that will drain out. Adding less or more could severely compromise the operation of the gearbox. Typically, the gearbox for this engine series holds 3.5 litres of lubricant. Use a 14 mm spanner to unscrew the cap and collect the fluid in a container. Refit the cap and tighten it. Measure the fluid carefully with a measuring jug and fill slowly. The filler tube is located directly behind the vehicle's engine (see video). Close the tube with the dipstick. Take the vehicle for a test drive and ensure that even when the engine is hot, the lubricant level does not exceed the upper mark on the dipstick.
