Replacement of Rear Hub Bearing

Model: Suzuki Swift MK 3 - Years 1994-2004

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the rear wheel; remove the cap at the centre of the hub to unscrew the drum retaining nut to remove it; then extract the bearing from inside the drum using a press or a punch and hammer, taking care not to damage its seat; then insert the new bearing by pressing it into the seat with a suitable diameter tool; reposition the drum complete with the new bearing on the rear axle, tighten the retaining nut ensuring it rotates freely, create an indentation to prevent it from loosening accidentally and apply the protective cap.
