Alternator Pulley Replacement

Model: Suzuki Grand Vitara MK 1 - Years 1999-2005

To access the alternator, first remove the radiator complete with the fan assembly: start by draining the coolant through the drain plug under the radiator, then disconnect the hoses and mounting points; once the radiator is removed, disconnect the battery and proceed with the alternator removal: in fact, the pulley replacement can also be done without removing the alternator from its position; in any case, slide off the auxiliary belt by loosening the tensioner, disconnect the cables from the alternator, and remove the fixing bolts; then remove the cap in front of the pulley and use the appropriate tool to take it off; fit the new pulley ensuring it matches the diameter and number of grooves, and proceed in reverse for installation, then refill the cooling system with the appropriate fluid.
