How the "Attention Brake" System Works in a Suzuki Ignis

The "Attention Brake" system is a driver assistance feature included as standard in some versions of the Suzuki Ignis. This system activates at speeds of 3 miles per hour or higher and, thanks to the dual front cameras, helps avoid collisions by sounding a buzzer and illuminating a warning light on the information display. To deactivate the light and warnings, appropriate maneuvers with the brake and steering wheel must be performed. If the system detects that the driver is unable to perform the necessary maneuvers, warning lights and the buzzer will activate, and the brakes will be slightly applied, but the driver must still intervene. In the event of a high probability of collision, a collision warning will activate, and the system will enhance braking when the brake pedal is pressed firmly. If the system determines that a collision is unavoidable, the brakes will automatically engage with force. Simultaneously, all collision warning signals will illuminate. If the clutch is not pressed, the engine will stop. The system does not operate when the ESP system is activated, except in the case of a frontal collision risk; or when the switch is set to "off"; or when the stereoscopic camera is faulty. It is advisable not to rely too heavily on the system and to exercise appropriate caution while driving.
