How to change the cabin air filter for the Tesla Model S DIY

On your Tesla Model S, the cabin air filter is accessed from the front compartment, in the area of the air intake for the air conditioning. Before you begin, park on a flat surface, put the car in Park (P), turn off the ventilation, and work calmly with the hood open, avoiding forcing any plastics. Open the front compartment and remove the cover/plastic that closes the upper area near the windshield, providing access to the location of the filter housing. Once you locate the flap or closure of the filter compartment, unlock it and open it just enough to slide out the used filter. Carefully pull out the element to avoid dropping any debris, and if you notice leaves or dust in the housing, gently clean the edge before installing the replacement. Insert the new filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly as indicated on the filter itself, and push it in until it is fully seated without bending it more than necessary. If your version has two elements, replace both in the same manner. Close the flap, reattach the removed covers, and check that all fastenings are secure. Once finished, reactivate the ventilation to ensure that the airflow is regular and that there are no unusual noises coming from the hood area.
