Let's see how to activate Autopilot on the Tesla Model 3 Highland. First, ensure this feature is enabled in the menu by tapping: Controls / Autopilot / Autopilot Features / Steering System and accepting the terms. The number of taps needed depends on how you have set this option. It is always found under Controls / Autopilot. A single tap activates both Adaptive Cruise Control and the Steering System (the actual Autopilot). You need to press the right scroll wheel twice to activate Steering. The first tap activates only Adaptive Cruise Control, while the second tap activates lane guidance. The difference is important: with the "Double Tap" setting, you can use only cruise control, which is useful if, for example, you do not want the car to steer by itself in certain situations.
